Just recently picked up this center speaker for dollars off a1componets.com (free shipping). This little gem is something else. If you run a surround system in a room and have problems with low-voices or muddy bass sounds comming from your sub, upgrade to this center. Will fix alot of problems with mid-range uneveness and low-vocal volume. My setup is very basic. I run no subwoofer at the moment so all my speakers are set to Large in the receivers settings, exluding rears (I run a Yamaha HTR-5740, 85w per channel) so what you see in this video is an exaggeration of what the speaker is meant to do. Its never suppose to handle 60hz or lower frequencies, but you will see from this video that it has magnificent excursion for mid-range woofers (5 1/4") and the tweeter is very clear and reproduces all those highs very accurately at loud levels. A center with woofers is important, because this will give you more flexibilty in your Home Theatre setup. A center with bass capabilities will relieve the Subwoofer from those tedious mid-range sounds that can interfere with its performance on delivering lower range frequencies (20-50hz range) the results with the sub doing all the bass control on your typical 5.1 system running dinky sattellite speakers is muddy, unrealistic bass performance, because essentially you have 1 woofer doing everything.
